The Patent Information Fair is held every year in November in Tokyo. It is a fair where a lot of companies that do work related to intellectual property take part every year. You can find IP translation services, IP research and management services, patent firms and much more. The EPO and USPTO also are present every year. Besides that, you can also join a variety of different lectures regarding intellectual property. The fair is attended by many people every year. This time it was more than 20.000 over the course of 3 days.

Our debut at a trade fair

Last year we only went to the fair as visitors but this year we decided to have our own booth for the first time in the history of transeuro. As transeuro is a fairly new company we have never been represented at any other fair before. This was a first time experience for us in all regards.

In the weeks before the fair, all members of the marketing department were pretty busy with preparations. As this was our first time at a trade fair, not everything went like we would have hoped for. But in the end, we were all happy with how our booth had turned out.

We hope everyone at the fair had a good time and would like to thank all of our translators that helped to work at the booth. As they usually do not have direct contact with clients on a regular basis it was a good experience for them as well.

A lottery for our visitors

We would also like to thank everyone that stopped by at our booth for a quick chat or even a longer talk.
For everyone that handed us their business card, we had prepared a lottery. The prizes were different levels of discount rates for our translation fee. Two participants drew the first prize which was a 50% discount. Hopefully, it will turn out useful for them.

Overall the event was a great experience for us and we believe it helped us to get our name out there. We also learned a lot about what to do and what not to do when preparing for trade fairs and while working at the booth.

Next year we plan to have a booth again. Of course, we will make sure to learn from our mistakes so that our visitors will have an even better experience. If you are in Tokyo at that time we would be glad to see you there.
