General questions
Q:How do you guarantee quality?
A:As a first step we make sure to choose the translator that is best suited for your project depending on their experience and expertise. Once the translation is finished it is proofread by a second translator and finally, a native check is conducted by a native speaker of the target language.
Most of our clients are happy with our work, but if you are not satisfied with the translation you received will revise it accordingly at no additional cost.
Q:What is your specialty?
A:We specialize in patent, legal and technical translation. Our translators are basically divided in the technical fields engineering, electrical engineering and chemistry/medicine. Our translators have vast experience in their respective fields and we employ several experts for each field. For your reference, these are some of the fields we receive the most orders for.

Q: How many in-house translators do you employ?
A: We employ more than 40 in-house translators as regular employees. They have an average translation experience of 10 years and some translators have been working in their field for over 30 years. But our translators do not just rely on their experience they also stay up to date on new developments in their field of expertise, therefore we are sure that we can provide satisfactory translations.
Pricing and payment
Q:Do you offer volume discounts?
A:For large volume translations or regular clients volume discounts are possible. If you would like to discuss possible discounts please contact us.
Q:Do you charge a rush fee?Is there a minimum charge?
A:For orders with delivery dates shorter than 5 business days rush fees will apply according to our fee schedule. There is no minimum charge, small projects will be invoiced on a per-word basis just like all other projects.
Q:Which payment methods do you accept?What are your payment terms?
A:We accept payment through wire transfer and Paypal. You will receive our invoice shortly after receiving the finished translation. We request payment until the end of the month following the issue date of the invoice.
Q:How much is your fee for proofreading?
A:Our fees for proofreading only are 7 JPY/word. (If editing is required translation fees might incur for the edited sections.)
Our regular translations fees already include proofreading and native check, therefore no additional proofing fees will be charged for translation orders.
Others
Q:Will my information be shared with 3rd parties?
A:Your information is only available to the translators involved in your project and project managers and will not be shared with anyone else. Upon request, we can provide an NDA that gives you the legal assurance that your information will not be shared with 3rd parties or sign an NDA provided by you.
