On October 1, 2019, the consumption tax in Japan will increase from 8% to 10%. Our translation and interpretation rates will remain the same after the tax increase.

Furthermore, overseas clients are not subject to the Japanese consumption tax so therefore they are not affected by the tax increase. Exceptions are clients with branch offices in Japan that prefer their invoices issued to the Japan office. Invoices issued at a Japanese address will be subject to the increased tax rate from October 1.
