Düsseldorf has a new sister city or actually a sister prefecture.

The visit of the Lord Mayor of Chiba Prefecture in 2005 strengthened the friendly relationship between Düsseldorf and Chiba Prefecture, which are similar in many ways. Düsseldorf and Chiba have an international airport and are often the venues for international trade fairs.

Both already work very actively together as partners in the fields of sport, music and culture and have therefore decided to further strengthen their bilateral cooperation through an official partnership agreement.

There are many Japanese companies in Düsseldorf, so there are also many Japanese living in the city. Japan plays an important role in Düsseldorf. The Faculty of Japanese at Henrich Heine University is very large. The Japan Day, German-Japanese festival, also takes place annually in Düsseldorf.

Both want to explore new fields of cooperation after entering the partner agreement. As a translation company specializing in German with many employees living in Chiba, we hope that the cooperation will be expanded further.
